Cajuns, Falls, Ghosts, and Crab-Feasts
Sunday morning we took Kai to Toulouse Petit, the cajun/creole restaurant in our neighborhood. We got a table load of food because we all are working towards the end goal of obesity.
Gueyere Scramble
Pecan Banana Pancakes
Shrimp and Grits
After the feast we drove to Snoqualmie Falls, a waterfall in the Cascades half an hour west of Seattle. It was foggy and drizzly, so, you know, typical.

We drove to Bellevue, the rich-people neighborhood of Seattle, to check out their fancy Nordstrom. It was as fancy as expected, Kai said the Nordstroms themselves shop there. As we’ve discussed, the original Nordstrom and REI are in Seattle. Another original Seattle store . . .
Starbucks #1
We went to the Pikes Place Market for the ghost tour, but stopped off at the original Starbucks on the way. It wasn’t too busy, usually it it completely packed with Japanese tourists. I am not sure why that is, maybe Mom has theories.
Kai got sick of carrying his drink, because he is delicate, so he carried it in his camera case for awhile.
He said he was a kangaroo
I really enjoyed the ghost tour, I thought it was interesting, especially since the tour guide mentioned GHOST ADVENTURES and GHOST DOUCHE a number of times. I even got a picture with a picture of someone getting their picture with GHOST DOUCHE (the album was in the ghost tour storefront).
Look how excited I was!
After the tour, which I recommend, we went to The Crab Pot, a famous restaurant on the Sound that serves up steaming piles of crabs, mussels, clams, and lord knows what else.
So much food it gives you a double-chin.
We were swimming in crab. We also had a great time with the camera.
Kai didn't like having to work for food
I told him to look happier - can't argue with the results
Gross, mussels. We made Chris eat them.
No words
The waitress wasn’t sure what to do with our table.
We weren't even drinking
