Bonus Post
As I was sitting at my work computer wondering if the personal offense I take to one of our more wretched computer programs means I am succumbing to the job-induced insanity the senior member of my career seem to exist in, I realized I could do what I always do when something proves difficult at work, vent about it to my friends. Sadly, since they are all on the other side of the continent, this means email. Normally work frustration would entail me slumping into my friend Mike’s (aka T) cubicle and whining, “Teeeeee, I hate -fill-in-the-blank. Let’s go to Starbucks.” And then everything was better. Or he would say, “It is what it is” and I would shout, “Shut your stupid face, T, I hate you!” Because we always had mature discourses.
Thug life
Here I was GOING to put a photo of T from last year’s holiday party at wherever-it-is I work (looks like an Elementary school from the following photo. I teach 5th grade), but then I remembered T WASN’T AT THE PARTY. T YOU ARE THE WORST.
So here is a photo of Rhonda at the party.
Looking sharp, Rhonda!
We had an ugly sweater contest, in case there was wondering. I ran the Holiday Party at Pentagon City Elementary School for two years running, because blonde’s truly are stupid.
My scarf said "Party Posse"
The ugly sweater contest was Rhonda’s idea. It was an excellent one.
She would've won if she hadn't admitted her sweater vest was a ringer.
We also had a yankee gift swap, in which some of the desired prizes were a poster of Justin Bieber, a plastic WWF belt, and a keychain that said “Team Jacob.” Alas, Seattle Elementary School has a fancy party downtown with a live band and steak for dinner.
Ok found a picture of T the PARTY DITCHER. He appears to have made it to his own holiday party. I told Kai and T to pretend to have a conversation for a photograph.
The convincing thespians.
The point of this post was . . . I don’t really remember. I just wanted to post photos of T and Rhonda, because I miss them both and they mean a lot to me. And even though I’m far from all my friends back home, I am glad that we have email/phones/telepathy to stay in touch.
And the memories. Oh yes, the memories.
Only Rhonda and Kai know what happened during that hike.

So this blog is supposed to be about Seattle – well, Seattle was rainy and boring today and did not make itself worthy of a post. Fie Seattle!
