Work Adventures in the Land of Twilight
Unfortunately I can’t upload any pictures for this entry, since I’m typing this on my droid (or “zoid” as Dad calls it). I’ve been traveling for work this week, TDY we call it at whatever job it is I work at. Last night we were in Olympia, the state capitol, and today we did whatever it is we do in a rural area near the city. The news caught wind of our doings, so I got to see myself on the news tonight from a helicopter shot.
Now, I have always been the type of daughter who thinks her Dad is the greatest man ever and the best at his job, and since I joined his work, I’ve been lucky to hear that the people who worked him always think highly of him as a person and his work. When I get to do work stuff like today, it always makes me think about how proud I am of my Dad. Our coworkers always talk about how nice he is- and today I realized what a big compliment that is in a job where some folks find it too easy to treat others poorly.
So now I am in an Indian Casino on the Olympic Peninsula on the Pacific, so I can drive north for another work assignment tomorrow. I took lots of beach photos of seagull-pecked crabs and tsunami-warning signs, so I’ll post them tomorrow. Hooray!
Also, I am the youngest person here by about 100 years.
